Nest Adoptions

Each year, St. Lucie County sees thousands of sea turtle nests on its beaches. Inwater Research Group patrols ten miles of beach from April-Sept, locating these nests and marking a select few. Marked nests can now be adopted in honor of yourself, your classroom, or someone you love.

Certificate with nest location
Personalized photo of nest
Sea turtle facts and information
Subscription to Florida Environmental Outreach magazine
Inventory of your nest including how many hatchlings made it out and to the ocean once the nest hatches

 

Upgraded Nest Adoptions ($60) include the following:

Classroom Adoptions

Do you and your students love sea turtles? Consider giving your students the gift of a nest adoption where they can track the success of the hatchlings and even “grow” their own turtle from an egg. Interested in a classroom mascot? Consider upgrading to the Mascot Package so your students have an in-class turtle pal to watch over them.

Includes Classroom Nest Adoption items as well as a 14” plush sea turtle mascot

Adoptions are sponsored by National Save the Sea Turtle Foundation and all proceeds go toward Inwater Research Group’s education programs.
